Commission Corner

The Commission Corner is a space for creators taking custom work at the event!

All folks at the Commission Corner are expected to be taking custom work while seated at the table, either for at home or at con pickup.

Space will be first come first served with no possibility for reserving a table in advance.

How it works

  • Show up! These spots are first come, first serve! We are located inside the Artist Alley, next to the Con Store.
  • Sign in! Once you arrive, we will get you checked in and ready to vend. You MUST have a Texas sales and use tax permit to vend with us regardless of where you vend! We cannot help you get one on site, please plan accordingly.
  • Pay for your time spot! Spots are half a day for $5. You can NOT reserve a time spot in advance. If spots are full, please come back later. We will also be posting closer to con a way to know if a table is empty.
  • Set up your table! Spots are 3 feet long by 2 ½ feet wide. You may build your display up to two (2) feet tall, to avoid the overshadowing of other artists. There is a very narrow degree of flexibility. Please make sure that people know that you are open for commissions!
  • Sell for half a day! After half a day has elapsed OR if your commissions are full we will ask you to move on if another artist is waiting. If there are no other artists waiting after 30 minutes past the half day mark, then you will be allowed to remain set up and can pay for another time spot ($5).
  • Tear down! After the end of the day, Commission Corner folks are required to tear down their display to make room for new folks the next day.
  • Repeat! You can reenter the Commission Corner each day! Please be aware that if you are closed for commissions for the duration of the event you will no longer be eligible for the commission corner.

Rules and Info

  • Kinds of creators
    • The Commission Corner is a place for all kinds of creators! From art to fursuits and everything in between, if you make it custom then you’re welcome in our Commission Corner!
  • Custom work
    • In order to qualify for the Commission Corner you must actively be taking commissions at the table. If you are not taking commissions at all, we recommend you apply for our Dealers Den or Artist Alley.
    • If you take custom work but are full, you will be asked to move on so another artist may take your spot.
  • Premade work
    • There are restrictions on what kind of merchandise is allowed in the Commission Corner. Similar to our artist alley, you may only sell things you have created or collaborated on. Proxy or reselling, even of another creator’s goods, is not allowed.
    • The Commission Corner is a place for people to take custom work first and foremost, but premade merchandise is allowed. You will be allotted 5 kinds of premade merchandise at your table (this has a small degree of flexibility, but is ultimately up to the Commission Corner host), with unlimited amounts of variations within that category.
      • For example, you might bring stickers, with 10 designs of those stickers, keychains, with 8 designs of those keychains, etc.
    • Fursuits and other large merchandise are allowed as long as they do not impede on another person’s space and it doesn’t go over our height limit. Please be respectful of others’ space!
  • Adult content
    • Adult (NSFW) content is allowed, however this content must be in a place where minors cannot access it, such in a binder away from a place where small hands can grab it, until an adult shows their ID. There are minor badges, however badges can be swapped easily, so please take caution!
  • Location
    • The Commission Corner is located just inside the Artist Alley, next to the Con Store. There are 5 spaces available for Commission Corner artists to set up and sell.
  • Artist Alley rules
    • Overall, please follow the rest of the Artist Alley rules. Please only sell things you’ve had a contribution to and don’t impede on other peoples’ space.
